Ethel Mickel notified us of the passing of Wanda Stewart. We don’t have a retirement date for Wanda. Her obituary said that she had 30 plus year at the Omaha Works. We didn’t receive any notices of the passing of former associates during the Commscope ownership of the Omaha Works.

Wanda Stewart
Wanda Steward was born on June 1, 1949 in Omaha, Nebraska, unto the union of Daniel and Ruth Steward. She departed this life on November 27, 2019 at Creighton University Medical Center – Bergan Mercy. She was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers Edwin and Sargent First Class Duane Joe Steward and sister Charlotte Geneva Steward Kennedy. She was educated at Kellom Elementary School formally called Paul Street School, then onto Omaha Technical High School where she graduated in 1967. Wanda was employed for 30 plus years at Western Electric, which became Lucent Technologies before her retirement.

Retirement for Wanda was an opportunity to master some of her favorite hobbies. Those hobbies included sewing, crocheting, silk flower arranging, indoor and outdoor gardening and price shopping for anything she needed to achieve her hobbies.

A hobby she excelled at the most was project management. She joyfully utilized her skill in this area to serve her community, and to markedly increase the happiness of friends and family alike in an unsung manner. She spent a great deal of her time planning and organizing weddings, special events for her beloved church, social events for personal friends and assisting whenever and wherever these skills could be shared. Family and friends enjoyed many well-organized holidays and gatherings, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, birthdays etc., for which there was always a flow of delicious cuisine, fun, joy and happiness. Ultimately, her intent was always to maintain that long lasting good old fashion family bond or kinship.

Wanda loved a challenge of engaging in intellectual discourses with others to purposefully learn and explore varieties of subject matters of interest to satisfy her insatiable curiosity. She was a ferocious reader of – books of all genres, spanning the range of the classics to modern history, etc., which gave fuel to many of the discussions she respectfully

had with everyone. This any family member can attest to, as she so subtlety carried over wide range of understanding during many board games played during the holidays and summertime card parties.

She accepted Christ as her lord and savior at a young age and spent many hours at her home church, The Church of The Living God.

Wanda leaves to cherish her sisters Gwendolyn and Andrea Lee Steward, significant other Henry Redd. Also, nieces Paulette Kennedy, Paula Kennedy Mends-Cole (Alex), Wanda Kennedy, and Angela Kennedy; nephews, Darrel Steward (Janice), Wayne Kennedy (Gabrielle), Corey Steward, Donatello Kennedy and a host of nieces, nephews, godsons and other relatives.

In 2016 Erin Grace of the Omaha World Herald wrote a story about her courage and strength in her battle with cancer. A coworker and friend of Glenna emailed me that Erin had written a follow up story about Glenn after her passing. For those that knew Glenna but may have missed the articles I am posting them for you to read.

Grace: Cancer disfigured her face, but an artist’s portrait helped reframe her sense of self
By Erin Grace / / World-Herald columnist Aug 30, 2016

On Saturday, friends and family of a remarkable Nebraska woman will bid a final farewell.

The funeral service for Glenna Oltman will be held at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Louisville, Nebraska. Glenna was born on a farm near DeWitt, lived most of her life in Weeping Water and Louisville and later moved to Lincoln. She died Tuesday after an illness. She was 80.

Glenna might have died a lot sooner after a devastating bout of cancer left her with a horribly disfigured face. The cancer was in her jaw, and she had to have much of that removed. Treatment was painful and frightening and left her impaired in speech and eating.

Her husband, Norbert, died in 2002, before her diagnosis.

At one point, she wished that she could die.

But Glenna had too bright a spirit, too strong a will. A portrait artist captured both in a painting that had hung at the Nebraska Medical Center; that portrait helped her to see that for herself.

I got to write about that painting and about Glenna’s sparkle and steel in 2016.

She taught me about gratitude, saying then: “I still have life. What more could I ask for?”

Reached Friday, Glenna’s primary caregiver, her brother Steve Klostermeier of DeWitt, said Glenna was his family’s go-to person and will “be dearly missed by this entire family and especially by me.”

“I could go on for hours,” he said. “She was the anchor of the entire family. She’s the one you called when you wanted to know something. She’s the one you called when you had a problem. She showed strength and courage through these last 17 years. And her attitude was so wonderful.”

Grace: Cancer disfigured her face, but an artist’s portrait helped reframe her sense of self

She’s sorry about the mess, though the place appears pristine. She’s also sorry about Tyler, though her pet dog is a well-behaved fluffy ball of cuteness. Her concern about appearances is not unique, though given Glenna’s background it’s easy to see why she’s so sensitive.

I have to come to meet Glenna and talk about important things like her cancer, her disfigured face and how a visiting artist at the Omaha hospital where she once was treated changed her life. But first, there is so much to take in, like those throw pillows. Love the red and turquoise! And Glenna’s wall of windows. Fantastic view! And Tyler, who can’t be any cuter, can you, you good boy …

My brain says focus, and I try. I see what cancer did. How it took Glenna’s chin and most of her jaw and all of her teeth, causing part of her face to sink in.

But my eye is pulled upward, to her arty purple-framed glasses and chic short blonde hairdo. And my eye is pulled downward, toward the jangly silver bracelet on her left wrist and her subtly fabulous shoes. I make a mental note to get a pair of beige patent leather flats myself.

Focus! screams my brain.

So I study Glenna. And I see a damaged face but not a damaged person. I see a woman who looks and acts younger than her 77 years. I see in Glenna both steel and sparkle, strength and sunshine, and realize how true the old adage is about beauty being more than skin-deep. Glenna’s shine comes from within.

She shines because she is happy, despite all the hell she’s been through. She shines because she is grateful to be alive. She shines because an artist once sketched her picture, and the experience made her accept what had happened and made her see her new self with fresh eyes.

Once she did, she had two revelations.

The first: I don’t look so bad.

The second? Life is so, so beautiful.

The psychology of how we feel about the human face is pretty basic.

We are drawn to faces that are symmetrical and unblemished. We are repulsed by faces that are uneven and craggy. It’s why Hollywood puts dashing Daniel Craig in the James Bond role and casts a monstrous looking Javier Bardem as Bond’s archenemy. When Bardem pulls out his upper denture, in a riveting scene from the 2012 Bond film “Skyfall,” Bardem’s face falls, his eye bulges out and the facial deformity underscores his malevolence. Message: Bad-looking people are bad.

Dr. Bill Lydiatt, a head and neck surgical oncologist, uses the Bond example to explain the secondary trauma his patients endure when treatment for their illnesses means a permanently altered face, sometimes grotesquely so. They must grapple with a changed appearance and what that means for their own understanding of identity. Accepting this can be hard.

So Lydiatt was intrigued by what an artist from Scotland was doing in London.

Mark Gilbert had painted portraits of people who had suffered facial disease and undergone facial surgeries, and the collection had been on display at the National Portrait Gallery in London and in other galleries in Europe and North America. The paintings, though vivid and stark, also conveyed such humanity that Lydiatt and his University of Nebraska Medical Center colleague Virginia Aita, who has taught medical ethics and studied the intersection of art and medicine, wanted to bring him to Omaha to do something similar.

[Read more: Artist’s work is difficult, sensitive and meant to be wrestled with]

In 2006, the artist began a residency through a collaboration among UNMC, the University of Nebraska at Omaha and the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. Gilbert set up shop in a tiny storage room near what is now Lydiatt’s former office at UNMC’s head and neck cancer clinic. (Lydiatt is now based at Methodist).

Gilbert participated in a research study on how portraiture could show caregiving. He expanded the scope of his portraits to include not only patients like Glenna but also caregivers like Dr. Lydiatt and family members, like Glenna’s brother Steve.

The range of patients included a then 4-year-old who’d undergone multiple organ transplants and a man dying of ALS. He even painted my former colleague and neighbor, Kjell Cronn, who had a brain tumor the size of two tennis balls. Kjell now is living in Lincoln.

It was Kjell’s large portrait — roughly 5 feet by 5 feet — I noticed this year on a trip to the Nebraska Medical Center for a totally different story. What’s he doing here, I wondered.

A janitor told me there were more portraits like that inside the head and neck clinic and took me around. It’s not often you see interesting art in hospitals — and the portraits were so arresting in their intensity and strangeness.

In all, Gilbert created over 100 works based on 46 people. He showed the exhibit, called “Portraits of Care,” at the Bemis and then discussed it in length in his 2014 dissertation examining the role of portraiture in a clinical setting.

Gilbert showed what it was like to be a patient or caregiver in the full range of awfulness and humanity those experiences can have. He offered medical staff another look at the art of observation. What do you see when you see someone? And he helped bring meaning to the suffering of his subjects and experience of the caregivers.

Take Glenna.

Around 2000, she noticed white lesions in her mouth and got treated for what was called leukoplakia, which is a clinical term for oral lesions that can’t be otherwise identified. Sometimes, these lesions lead to cancer. Treatment involved getting the lesions lasered off, and Glenna’s husband, Norbert “Sonny” Oltman, would take her repeatedly to appointments over several years. Then he got liver disease in 2002, underwent a liver transplant and then died in June of that year. Glenna had been taking care of him at their 90-acre farm in Louisville, Nebraska.

That November, she was treated for a broken jaw — and then diagnosed with squamous-cell carcinoma, a cancer in her jawbone.

Glenna would later get breast cancer. Her own journal documents the relentless progression of her disease. The cancer seemed unstoppable:

“6/19/03 cancer returned.”

“12/11/03 cancer returned.”

“6/23/04 cancer returned.”

“4/18/06 cancer returned.”

“9/27/06 cancer returned.”

“1 9/06 breast cancer.”

One lump turned out to be nothing, something Glenna noted with wry humor in her journal.

“8/12/08. Had a small lump found under the tongue. Not cancer probably caused from stress (who me???)”

Treatment ran the gamut. Glenna got radiation, which involved strapping into a face mask bolted onto a table to prevent her from moving. That was claustrophobia-inducing. She would sing “Jesus Loves Me” to herself to get through it. Worse, though, was the coffin-like oxygen chamber that was locked as she lay there, terrified, while the compartment filled and emptied. One time, she could hear tornado sirens blasting and she hollered to get out.

At one point, she felt like giving up.

“I feel my life is over,” she wrote in her journal. “I won’t be able to talk, I won’t be able to eat.”

Surgery was often the answer, and doctors had to harvest bone and tissue from other parts of her body to see whether they could help save her face.

“They took my right tibia bone and made me a new jaw,” Glenna explained. “They took the fibia bone out of my left leg. They cut my tongue in half. They took muscle from my right shoulder and put it into my jaw. Then that got so tight, pulling my face to one side, they had to go back in and cut it.”

She held up her wrist with the jangly bracelet.

“I only have my left arm bone,” she said. Doctors had used her right arm bone for her face.

Once, when she was driving, blood just started gushing out of her mouth and she had to be hospitalized for that. Another time, the steel plate holding her jaw together broke through the skin and stayed like that, casting Glenna’s disfigurement in a surreal steampunk look.

The suffering wasn’t just physical. Glenna said she got so depressed that she spent one Christmas in bed crying.

She hated God, everything and everyone.

Then came an odd request.

Her surgeon, Dr. Lydiatt, asked whether she might be interested in having her portrait drawn as part of a research project the university was doing with an artist from Scotland. Glenna’s brother, Steve Klostermeier, thought this was crazy. Take Glenna’s portrait? Like this?

But Glenna figured: Why not? If it could help someone, she was game. She signed some papers and found herself thinking about makeup for the first time since she got cancer.

She made a hair appointment. She chose a stylish outfit — jeans and a red turtleneck, topped by a denim vest.

She glanced at the mirror and thought: Not so bad.

She entered Gilbert’s hospital “studio” and felt right at home. It was so nice to come to the hospital for something pleasant and not painful. She enjoyed sitting. She felt like she got to know Gilbert, whose parents in Scotland were artists. She liked him immensely. For the first time in years, she felt really good. Great, in fact.

When she saw the finished product, Glenna thought: yeah, that’s me. Then: Yeah! That’s me!

She saw her cancer-damaged face and her still-intact spirit.

She finally felt like she could accept how her face had changed. She felt more comfortable going out in public and speaking out, telling her story.

Glenna has been cancer-free for three years.

She is contemplating reconstructive surgery that would better enable her to hear. Right now, she has to drink her meals, and it’s messy. She has a hard time swallowing and has to wear a bib. She has found she can eat one thing, a certain kind of frozen strawberry cheesecake she can find only at Baker’s. So once a month, she drives up from Lincoln and loads up on the treat.

“Don’t ask me how I can’t eat potatoes and gravy,” she said. “But I can eat that strawberry cheesecake.”

Because of her difficulties, Glenna prefers to just eat alone. But she doesn’t miss a chance to go to a restaurant with friends or family and sit for the companionship.

She’s totally comfortable in how she looks and even wishes strangers would just ask her instead of stare or yank the arms of staring children. She does cringe at the idea that her presence would embarrass family or friends, though she thinks they are probably too kind and probably too used to how she looks to really care.

Ultimately, Glenna would rather be out in the world than stuck indoors. Even in a place as attractive as this townhouse she shares with Tyler.

Life is too sweet. Life is too short. Life, after fighting for hers and watching her husband and mother lose theirs, is too important.

So she clings to every minute she has.

“I still have life,” she said. “What more can I ask for?”

They made their home in Lincoln, and later in Ralston, NE where Frank worked as a purchaser for Western Electric for 38 years.

Frank acquired his love for cars and motorcycles when he was a teenager and enjoyed biking until his late 80s, often with Marilyn riding along. Together they enjoyed travelling and spent many vacations in state and national parks and other scenic destinations. Outgoing and funny, Frank made friends easily and had many lifelong friendships. He loved the music of his generation and continued to enjoy it with friends until weeks before his death.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Marilyn; his parents; and his siblings. Survivors include his son, Frank II (Vicki); daughter, Kay (Randy Peters); grandchildren, Sarah Lyons (Justin), Dan Logan, Will Peters (Callie), and Tessa Peters; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Parker (Dick); and many nieces and nephews. Loretta Thimgan notified us of the passing of Linda Jean Meyer. Linda retired from the Omaha Works on 3/19/2000 with thirty years of service.

LINDA JEAN MEYER
Linda Jean Meyer, age 71 of Greenwood, Nebraska, gained her beautiful angel wings on Wednesday, June 5th, 2019 at Bryan East hospital surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born on April 29th, 1948 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Vernon and Gertrude (Brakhage) Stewart. She was baptized and confirmed in the presence of God. She married the love of her life, Larry Lee Meyer, in Lincoln, Nebraska on January 21st, 1970. Together they had two sons, Brian Keith Meyer, Michael Shane Meyer and two stepsons Darin Lee Meyer and Robbie Lynn Meyer.

Linda loved many things, but her love for her family was the deepest of them all. Although she would never admit it, her fondest love was for her husband, Larry. Linda and Larry loved traveling and seeing the country together. They went many places, but Miami, Florida; Dallas, Texas; Seattle, Washington; and Las Vegas, Nevada were their favorites. She also loved weekends spent at the campground with family and traveling to watch her granddaughters to play softball. Linda also had a deep love for her two sons, Brian and Mike. Weekends spent at the race track with them was her absolute favorite. Watching her sons work together while Mike raced and Brian made all of the fine tunes on the car was something Linda loved watching. Of course she always had something witty to say when things didn’t go right, but she always had the best of time! Although she loved her two sons, she loved them even more because they blessed her with three grandchildren, Ashley Jean, Kristen Lee, and Paige Nichole. Linda loved attending their school activities, she would never miss a softball game or volley tournament. You always knew when Grandma Meyer was at the game due to she was either screaming at the umpires or giving a spectator a hard time. Linda was also blessed with a great granddaughter, Amberlynn Fay. She loved a good snuggle session with her. Family was by far the most important thing to her, and she would definitely let you know by the hundreds of calls and text messages she sent on a daily basis (even though she really never quite figured out how to use her iPhone, it was a miracle the screen wasn’t cracked from her poking it so hard). Holidays were also a very special time for her. She got to spend them with all of her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She loved their time together, but she loved them even more because she got to give everyone a hard time. Family really did consume every ounce of her heart.

Linda enjoyed the simple things in life; sipping on a good cup of coffee, getting a pedicure, and watching copious hours of Country Western shows. You wanted to talk to Linda in the morning? You better wait until she had about five cups of coffee pumping through her veins. She would never turn down coffee with anyone, her pot was always on. She loved starting her mornings with a couple cups of coffee with her sister-in-law Jean Stewart and friendly neighbor Dallas Hayes. But the coffee did not stop there, she would attend daily coffee gatherings with some of her best friends. Although her love for black coffee with one packet of Sweet-N-Low ran deep, her love for a large Carmelious with an extra shot of espresso and no whip cream from Scooters Coffee ran even deeper. Linda also loved an afternoon spent at the nail salon. You give her a deluxe pedicure with purple toe nails, and she would be one happy camper! If you didn’t find Linda drinking coffee at her table or at the nail salon, you could find her in front of the television watching old Country Western shows. It did not matter if she saw the episode one time, or twenty times, she was watching it.

Linda is survived by her husband of 49 years Larry Meyer, their two sons; Brian and Mike (Melissa), two stepsons Robbie and Darin, along with three grandchildren; Ashley, Kristen, and Paige, great grandchild; Amberlynn, and three granddogs Baby, Tanner, and Daytona. Linda is also survived by her siblings Janice (Guy) Horn, Jerry (Penny) Stewart, Kenneth (Jean) Stewart, and James Stewart and bother-in-law Bob Wischman. Her nieces Pat (Bob) Timblin, Paula (Bob) Akers, Dusty (Kevin) Larkins, Stacey (Brad) Glathar, Sherry (Fred) Starr, and Jodi (Kelly) Lathrop, and her nephews Tommy Smith, Mark Stewart, Eric (Dotty) Stewart, Joel Stewart, Ronnie Stewart, and Scott Stewart. Along with many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Gertrude Stewart, brothers: Ivan (Betty) Stewart, George Stewart, and John (Joyce) Stewart, and her sisters Dorothy Comstock, Barbara Ann Wischman, Ruth (Bob) York, and Judy Thoms. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone Linda interacted with as well as those she reached out with and never met.

Share your love and remembrance for Linda Meyer on Monday, June 10th, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the American Lutheran Church in Ashland, Nebraska with Steven Lindley officiating. After services, there will be a luncheon at the church. Interment will then follow at the Greenwood Memorial Cemetery.

Visitational services for Linda Meyer will be held on Sunday, June 9th, 2019 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM at Ropers & Sons, 10851 N. 148th Street in Waverly, Nebraska.

Judy Nelson 77, peacefully passed away Monday evening at Lakeside hospital. She was born October 20, 1941in Omaha, Ne the 4th child to Betty & Bill Travis. Siblings Virginia, Bill (BooBoo) and Pat.

She grew up and graduated from South High school 1959. From high school she went on to beauty school. She then married of 40 years, the love of her life Dodo July 9, 1960. In 1962 they built their home in Millard, Ne with their daughters Cyndi & Kim, this is where they would spend their lives.

Judy had a beauty shop in the basement of their home. After a couple of years, she decided to seek employment outside of the home and went to work at Western Electric and did various jobs. After 30 years of service she retired from Lucent.

During the time of her daughters growing up, she assisted in coaching their softball teams. She was a HUGE fan of most sports, but she enjoyed mostly the Huskers, where her & Dodo attended home games for many years. She enjoyed golfing and bowling, and as a family camping & boating. Hobbies were out door gardening, knitting and quilting in which she made bed quilts for her family.

Her most precious people in her life, was her grandkids, Korey Zemula, Kyle Lamb, Kristi Lamb and Brian Field. She enjoyed going to Korey’s football & select baseball games, Kyle’s baseball, soccer, roller & ice hockey games, Kristi’s softball, soccer games and competitive cheerleading. Her grandkids called her the “Sassy” grandma, as many times she would stick out her tongue to them. Along with her family she was an avid pet lover, from birds, dogs, horse & cats which she always had 1 if not 2 of at all times. Her happiest of times was spent with daughters, son n law, distant & local siblings, nieces, nephews, brothers n law and sisters n laws and many many many friends. The last 15 years of her life was spent with her Best & Special friend Charley Marchand. She thought the world of Charley’s family as they were her own. Thank you to all the doctors that have treated her through her health issues for many years, and to all the nurses at Lakeside hospital her final days.

Cyndi and I would like to thank mostly all family & friends that came to visit during this difficult time and the support of Oriental Trading Co and CSG International. Aunt Virginia for being there to guide us now & days to come. I told you this is the way she planned leaving before you, cuz she knew you would guide & help us get everything done. Mostly to Brian Lamb who has been the man of the family since 2000. You have been there every minute from sitting with us, getting food and running home to get clothes to bring back to the hospital and feeding the cat, to driving us around to make arrangements. We couldn’t have gotten through this difficult time without you, and for that we Thank You!

I received this email this morning from Jim Eichner. My brother Jerry sent me this notification from the Denver group about the death of Bill Barry. I don’t know if you remember Bill from when he was in Omaha, but I’m sure there are quite a few that do. He and my brother Jerry both transferred to the Denver plant in 1971. He was either a supervisor or department chief here in Omaha before he transferred. But I just don’t know in what area that may have been. I have attached the obituary. Jim Eichner

SERVICES: Friday, Jan. 18th at 1pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5911 Ville De Sante Dr., with
VISITATION prior to the service, from 11am to 1pm.

Eugene Clifton Biglow, who was affectionately known as “Bootsie” to his siblings and “Gene” to his friends, was born on February 3, 1940, in Paris, Texas. He spent his early childhood in Denver, Colorado and later relocated to Omaha, Nebraska to live with his father. As a youth Eugene enjoyed boxing in the light weight division. He graduated from Technical High School and later attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Eugene had a great work ethic and was employed with AT&T (Western Electric) for 36 years, until he retired in 2000. He was greatly respected by all who worked with him.

Eugene was a soft spoken man, but his words carried much weight. He loved his children, stepchildren, grandchildren and spiritual children. He always tried to impart to them the importance of being of good character and used his wisdom to impart many important life’s lessons. Eugene shared the words he heard from his father with his children: no matter what problems you might be having, BUSINESS GOES ON; he told his daughters not to bring a man to meet him if the man didn’t have a job and his own place, and told his sons their J.O.B. was their best friend. He loved reading to his children, sharing his personal storytelling, talking to them whenever possible and participating in the significant events in their lives.

Eugene learned the truth about the bible and dedicated his life to Jehovah God on October 5, 1985. It was his practice to ensure that he participated in the ministry each year on the date of his baptism. Eugene loved the ministry and it was through working together in the ministry that he came to know his wife Renee. They were joined in marriage on July 2, 1988, and faithfully served Jehovah together for 30 years. Eugene stayed close to Jehovah by regularly doing his DBR’s (Daily Bible Reading) and M&M’s (Meaning Meditation). Even as his health declined, he tried to remain active in the ministry. Eugene willingly served the congregation in any assignment he was asked to perform; first a ministerial servant and later as an elder. Despite his advancing illness, he drove to Wichita, Kansas in March 2017, to attend the School for Congregation of Elders. Eugene said attending the school was one of the greatest highlights of his spiritual life, and he thanked Jehovah God for giving him the strength to attend. Eugene had complete trust in Jehovah. He stated throughout his years as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and especially during his illness, that he felt he was in Jehovah’s hands and he looked forward to living forever in the new world.

During his down time, Eugene enjoyed playing a good chess game, watching sports, and most of all working in his garden. He loved watching Western movies. Eugene always wanted to be dressed impeccably and didn’t consider himself to be properly dressed if his shoes were not shined. This attitude came from the years he spent in his youth shining shoes at the Greyhound Bus station and working at the Nebraska Clothing Store. He enjoyed taking pictures with his family, friends, and of his travels.

Eugene’s calm presence, infectious smile, and “tell it like it is” attitude will be sorely missed. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father Myrtle and Earnest Grimes, his father and step-mother Will and Louise Biglow and sister Judith Robbins. He leaves to mourn his death his beloved wife of 30 years, Renee; cherished children: Veronica (Rodney) Williams of Phoenix, Arizona; Audrey (Dirk) Johnson of Washington, DC; Tonya (Bryan) Lennox of Mosley, Virginia; Eugene “Geno” Biglow Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona; Chad Biglow, Theardise (T.K.) Lowman Jr. and Richetta Lowman of Omaha, Nebraska; brothers Ernie, Anthony, Tommy and Kevin Grimes of Denver, Colorado; sisters Betty (Alvin) Riddle of East Chicago, Illinois; Brenda (Horace) Stoker and Sharon Grimes-Ndem of Denver, Colorado; 26 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and dear friends. “Grandpa” will be especially missed by special grandson Xavier Lowman.
